As im sure you can appreciate I have been very on edge and unable to concentrate or commit to anything with the appointment fast approaching, but yesterday I had my check up and received the amazing news that I am infact cancer free!!

I am still on cloud 9 and cannot promise to have regular posts up for a while but I will have posts going up!!

Thanks for all of you that are sticking by my blog and checking back for posts, following me on here, bloglovin and twitter etc and thank you massively for everyone who sent me messages of luck and congratulations :)

Farm fun :)

I am now on my 2 weeks holiday wohoo lol so yesterday Freddie decided he wanted to head off to the farm. We arrived to find the farm we usually use was closed so with the help of google we found a farm we hadnt been to before and decided to try it out.

The bus 204 straight from Mill Hill East station goes straight to the farm which is probably about a 10minute bus journey away.

The staff are really passionate, friendly and helpful.

The farm is gorgeous, clean and well set out, with such a wide variety of animals. You can find anything from rabbits to wallabies on your visit and everything in bewteen.

Freddie was very happy to find the pigs as they are a personal favourite of his.

But Freddie was blown away by the tractor ride you can take part in (these are offered hourly at a rate of £2.50 each) we think that it was worth every penny. We had a very passionate member of staff on board talking us around the trip, it was interesting to find out some of the history of the farm.

Freddie was really keen during the petting part where he got to get hands on with some bunnies and guinea pigs.

You could easily spend most of the morning here with all of the activities their are to take part in. Their is also a waffle cafe to grab something to eat in or picnic benches dotted around if you want to enjoy a picnic surrounded by the animals. Overall a great trip and we would re visit.

Weekend round up #2

This weekend has been a quiet one for us. I am now off of work on holiday for 2 weeks and next week we head off to butlins for a break so we have been saving the pennies over this weekend.

With Freddies 3rd birthday coming up we took him off bike hunting and here he is on a test drive :)

Friday night was date night. I cannot remember the last time me and Dean went out Freddie free so on Friday we decided we would go out for a curry. We went to a gorgeous indian restaurant in Clerkenwell called The Cinnamon Tree.

This weekend has proved to be quite a foody fueled one, with Saturday seeing us head to a desert restaurant with Freddies best friend, the boys were carefully making their ice cream choice.

I may have overindulged with this waffle but the mention of cinnamon had me sold and it was worth every mouthful, absolutely scrummy.

Freddie has football lessons on a Sunday morning and today he has really gotten the football bug and been playing at home since we got back to.

I think I may have over done it with my Sunday lunch this week, my excuse was that we are now half way threw the year so i better get practising to perfect Christmas dinner right lol?!

Hope the rest of you have had a lovely weekend x

OOTD: Baseball jerseys & Jelly shoes :)

Excuse the awkward expression on my face guys and dolls lol. I have been meaning to snap this OOTD for the longest time, I had spent the whole afternoon rushing around and when I finally at the last minute remembered to snap this shot I was standing in my block of flats (not very glamorous I know) thrusting my phone at my boyfriend and asking him to take a picture before we rushed off to meet my brother in law for his birthday drinks on the southbank.

I am in love with lilac and hopefully where you see the blonde in my hair you will hopefully be seeing lovely lilac hair, so when I saw these lilac pieces i snapped them up. This outfit is very comfortable, especially the top which is from ASOS.

Sorry guys but the Jelly shoes are no longer available as I brought this quite a few months ago now.

Freddie's Top 5 stories :)

With Freddies bookshelf over flowing I thought it would be a good idea to pick out some of his favourites to help parents and carers find some new reads from their little ones.

(I have tried to limit the amount of Julia Donaldson stories but a few were bound to creep in .. right?!)

1. The yoga ogre by Peter Bently
My mum brought this for Freddie as we both share a love of yoga lol. Freddie fell in love with it straight away (as we did). It is wittily written with cute illustration. The story encourages physical activity which is always a hit with me & Freddie loves Ogden the Ogre.

2. The highway rat

It may be presumptuous of me but I am guessing this book doesn't need much of a write up. Another hit written by Julia Donaldson which has gone down a treat in our house. As the highway rat goes around stealing from his friends he finally gets his come uppence when he is out witted by a clever duck & winds up working in a cake shop. Great illustrations (try and spot other Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler characters throughout the story)

3. Hugless Douglas by David Melling

I personally really like this story. It is a really cute tale of a bear who wakes up in need of a cuddle and goes off to find one, with a happy ever after Douglas finds one from his mummy. A great read for all ages, after all your never to old for a cuddle.

4. Zog by Julia Donaldson

We only recently discovered this story. I stumbled across it on the bookshelf of the children at work and loved the rhyming witty story Julia Donaldson always brings to her stories. With a hard working dragon trying his best to make it threw dragon school, he finds he needs and welcomes the help of a passing princess.

5. Harry & the bucketful of dinosaurs by Ian Whybrow

Freddies grandad brought him the collection of Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs a while ago now and he still loves each and every one of them. With Harry going on a new adventure with each book theres no time to get bored. Freddie has picked up the names of the dinosaurs really quickly and they books take important subjects such as first days at school and turn them into understandable fun topics for youngsters.

We always welcome new stories to add to our collection as Freddie takes after me and is a bookworm :0 so please share your favourites with us x

Weekend Round Up :)

I thought it would be nice to introduce a new segment on the blog. A simple weekend round up on a Sunday evening of the bits and bobs we have been upto mostly in picture form :)

On Friday we started off by going to drinks and a show at Udderbelly on the Southbank for my brother in laws birthday, really chilled out atmosphere, worth a visit.

On Saturday Dean has work so I took Freddie to a local park to make the most of this amazing sunshine we had in London town & then we took a trip to the steam fair in Clissold park.

Today Freddie had his football session with Little Kickers, then it was off to the paddling pool in clissold park and we couldnt resist another stop off at the steam fair before we came home.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend and if you do a similar post id love to see so send over links guys & dolls x

OOTD: Wedding Guest

Welcome back guys & dolls. Exactly a week ago I was rushing around with the rest of my household getting ready for my cousins wedding. With summer in full swing there are lots of events to go to such as weddings, christenings etc so I thought I would share what I wore to give some of you lovely ladies inspiration.

My son Freddie was page boy and wore a grey suit so as soon as I saw this lovely ASOS dress with grey panelling I thought it would compliment his suit and I had to have it. When it arrived I loved it even more but I wanted to brighten it up a and make it that bit more summery. I was toying with a few colour options but finally decided on coral, so off I went on a hunt for all things coral lol.

I found the gorgeous coral shoes from Dorothy Perkins along with the necklace and earings. The shoes were comfortable enough considering I wore them straight from the box on the day (what was I thinking not wearing them in lol) I lasted for quite a while in them. I bought the shoes and necklace/earing set in store and cant seem to find the online links sorry guys.
Shoes - £25
Necklace & Earing set - £12.50

Here is a close up of the necklace, pretty coral flowers really gave that summerv feel to the dress.

I choose not to wear make up that day just some lipgloss and my nails were painted in Coral heat by Maybelline

The wedding was lovely and the weather was gorgeous. It was the perfect summer wedding and we all really enjoyed ourselves (especially Freddie who was spoilt by all the guests and had a great time dancing the day away).
